However, the daily work of removing silt from the Jagbudi River isरत्नागिरी जिल्ह्यातल्या सर्वात मोठ्या नद्यांपैकी एक नदी असलेल्या आणि दर वर्षी पावसाळ्यात खेड शहराला पुराच्या पाण्याने वेढणाऱ्या खेड मधील जगबुडी नदीमधील गाळ काढण्याच्या कामाला गेल्या चार दिवसांपासून सुरवात झाली आहे मात्र या जगबुडी नदीमधील गाळ काढण्याच्या कामाला दररोज येणारी भरती ओहोटी आणि महाकाय मगरींचा मोठा व्यत्यय निर्माण झाला आहे. त्याच ठिकाणी जलसंपदा विभागामार्फत साचून ठेवलेल्या गाळाच्या ढिगाऱ्यांवर अनेक मोठं मोठ्या महाकाय मगरींनी आपला कबजा केलाय तर दुसरीकडे भरती ओहोटीमुळे उपसलेला गाळ पुन्हा नदीपात्रात पसरत असल्यामुळे या नदीतील कोटयावधी रुपये खर्चून गाळ काढणाऱ्या जलसंपदा विभागासमोर आता पावसाळ्यापूर्वी गाळ काढण्याचे मोठे आव्हान उभे राहिले आहे.
