The court has given the verdict that the 'hijab ban' in the college in Mumbai is correct. Chembur's Acharya-Maratha College had implemented a ban on hijab through a dress code. The challenge to this hijab ban by nine students in the Bombay High Court has been rejected. The petition claimed that the hijab ban was a violation of religious freedom. But the allegations in the petition were strongly denied by the college in the High Court.मुंबईतील महाविद्यालयातील 'हिजाब बंदी' योग्यच असल्याचा निकाल कोर्टानं दिलाय. चेंबूरच्या आचार्य-मराठे कॉलेजनं ड्रेसकोडच्या माध्यमातून हिजाबवर बंदी लागू केली होती. या हिजाब बंदीला नऊ विद्यार्थिनींनी मुंबई उच्च न्यायालयात दिलेलं आव्हान फेटाळण्यात आलंय. हिजाब बंदी धार्मिक स्वातंत्र्यावर गदा आणणारी असल्याचा याचिकेतून दावा करण्यात आला होता. मात्र याचिकेतील आरोपांचं कॉलेजकडून हायकोर्टात जोरदार खंडन करण्यात आलं. कुठल्याही धार्मिक भावना दुखावण्याचा हेतू नसल्याचं कॉलेजकडून सांगण्यात आलं. त्यानंतर आता 'हिजाब बंदी' योग्यच असल्याचा निकाल कोर्टानं दिलाय.
