Due to the delay in filing a case in the Rs 4 crore paddy scam, the Gadchiroli District Collector has written a letter to the Managing Director of the State Tribal Development Corporation, requesting him to inform the regional managers to take action against the guilty officials. There was a scam of Rs 4 crore in the purchase of paddy by the Tribal Various Executive Cooperative Society in Deulgaon for two consecutive years. After the investigation revealed this scam, Gadchiroli District Collector Avishyant Panda had ordered to file criminal cases against those involved in the misappropriation case in both years. However, even after eight days of the District Collector's order, the Tribal Development Corporation has not registered a case nor has it filed a complaint. Against this backdrop, Gadchiroli District Collector Avishyant Panda has now directly challenged the directors of the state's Tribal Development Corporation.
