Two-time MP from Dum Dum and TMC leader Sougata Roy is facing CPM's Nepaldeb Bhattacharya and BJP's Samik Bhattacharya. The veteran leader had faced stiff competition from CPM's Asim Dasgupta and BJP's Tapan Sikadar in 2014 elections and it's likely to be a three-way contest again if CPM manages to attrack sizable votes. The BJP, however, has made a big push in West Bengal to account for predicted loss of seats in Uttar Pradesh. It, however, remains to be seen if the saffron party's bullish approach yields results.
